Raised in Bellingham, Washington Jessie began her dance training at Brittany Setter’s Dance Studio at age seven. She attended Western Washington University for two years where she trained with former Mark Morris dancer Penny Hutchinson, Cher Carnell and Rick Merril. While at WWU she also worked with the Liz Gerring Dance Company. In 2013 Jessie transferred to the University of Wyoming where she received her B.F.A in Dance Science in July 2016. At UW she trained with Lawrence Jackson, Marsha Fay Knight, Jennifer Deckert, Margaret Wilson, Aaron Wood and guest artists Thane Jasperson, Keith Saunders, and Jacob Mora. While in school, she performed in The Nutcracker, Carmina Burana, and Leigh Selting’s production of Working.

Outside of school performances she has also trained with the Radio City Rockettes, Lizz Picini, Anaheim Ballet, The Mark Morris Dance Company and The Limon Dance Company. Jessie also has a strong passion for musical theatre, performing in productions such as Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, The Producers and 42nd Street. Jessie is an avid tapper and has continued tapping with choreographers such as Rhonda Malkin and Traci Reszetylo from New York. She studied dance for a semester while abroad in London, England and has also performed in Japan and Australia.

 Jessie moved to Southern California in Spring of 2016 where she began performing in Parades at Disneyland, such as Mickey's Soundsational Parade(2017-2019), Magic Happens Parade(2020) and A Christmas Fantasy Parade(2016-2022). Other credits while in California include LegoFriends (Legoland), The Gem Theatre, Emergent Dance Co. (Megan Pulfer) and Fuse Dance Co. (Joshua-Romero). 

 

In March 2020 Jessie became Balanced Body certified in Mat pilates and currently teaches online pilates for HB Pilates and Fitness.

Jessie has recently left California and moved to Denver, Co when she was hired to perform in The Queens Ball; A Bridgerton Experience as Maria/Lady St. Claire. She is currently in a production of CATS as Alonzo/Macavity at Candlelight Dinner Playhouse in Johnstown, CO. Get your tickets as the show only runs until June 25th 2023.
